Title
Pottery lamps hang from wooden stick suspended ceiling at the Emily Fowler Library.
Description
Ten ceramic lamps hang from a dropped ceiling made of wooden sticks. The lamps were glazed elephant blue (see middle picture), a favorite color of O'Neil Ford.
This area was created during the 1968 expansion of the building. The pottery lamps were made by Beaumont Mood. The suspended ceiling was made from wooden sticks, a design inspired by Finnish architect and designer, Alvar Aalto.
