Title
The Davis Building
Description
Photos of the Davis Office Building which was designed by the Mount-Miller Architects in 1965. The structure is bordered by North Elm Street and Congress Street.
From the Denton Record-Chronicle:
The building was designed for Bruce Davis and built by Bert Moore Construction Co. with the northern part of the building designed especially for Joe Alford, owner of Joe Alford Florist.
Natural lighting supplied the work areas to aid in flower arrangements. Abilene Cordovan brick with concrete masonry backup was used in the construction. Acoustical ceiling tiles were used. There is a brick alcove at the southeast corner of the building which was used as a structural device.
An angled roof and ceiling created a spacious feel.
