This sculpture of a rose by Jack Zavatsky, was a gift to the library by Dr. George and Peggy Hendricks in memory of their daughter, Helen. It lives at the South Branch Library.
The first photo shows the newly added extension to the Emily Fowler Library which was designed by O'Neil Ford and added in 1969. The second view was taken after the building was expanded in 1980-81 to include an upper level.
Abacus made from wood and brass with bamboo rods and wood beads. This was also once allowed for customers to check out.
Condition: nicks and dents, repaired break on length of one side.
