We do not know when or how they were damaged, only that someone attempted repairs on them at a later date using an adhesive that was not for ceramic fixtures.

<p>In the mid-to-late 1960s, the Denton Municipal Complex was designed by Texas architect O'Neil Ford, who commissioned Martha and Beaumont Mood to make pottery lamps, planters, and urns for each of the buildings.</p>
<p>The 1981 expansion to the Emily Fowler Library added a split-level floor and a breezeway to the front of the building.<br /><br />In addition to more Beaumont Mood pottery lamps, Ford approached another San Antonio artisan, Charlene deJori to make exterior lighting for the front of the building. <br /><br /><br /></p>

COVER PHOTO: For those of you who haven't seen the model at City Hall, this is what the new municipal building will look like. This week it was announced that bids on the structure will be opened May 11. To be built in the new civic center, the building will house all city hall operations as well as a new police station and an emergency operating center for county-wide civil defense operations.

The City of Denton Parks and Recreation Department built the foundation and the sand enclosure for the memorial. The structure itself was constructed by Alvin Ellis, under the supervision of Mount-Miller Architects. The project had the approval of the Municipal Complex architect O’Neil Ford. The play wall was dedicated in a public ceremony on December 13, 1970.The City of Denton Parks and Recreation Department built the foundation and the sand enclosure for the memorial.
