The building was designed for Bruce Davis and built by Bert Moore Construction Co.  The northern part was configured especially for Joe Alford, owner of Joe Alford Florist.&#13;
&#13;
Natural lighting supplied the work areas to aid in flower arrangements. Abilene Cordovan brick with concrete masonry backup was used in the construction. Acoustical ceiling tiles were used. There is a brick alcove at the southeast corner of the building that was used as a structural device.&#13;
&#13;
An angled roof and ceiling created a spacious feel.</text>
