This wall sconce was cleaned by library staff on February 19, 2024. Each lamp took 2 to 3 hours to clean because of the accumulated material inside its 500 holes. A pipecleaner was used along with stiff-bristled brushes.

<p>The 1981 expansion to the Emily Fowler Library added a split-level floor and a breezeway to the front of the building.<br /><br />In addition to more Beaumont Mood pottery lamps, Ford approached another San Antonio artisan, Charlene deJori to make exterior lighting for the front of the building. <br /><br /><br /></p>

Two globe-shaped pottery lamps hang from the front of the Denton City-County Library. One hung outside the covered pergola. The other was cream with a possible gray band near the bottom. Both have geometric patterns.
