Globe-shaped ceramic lamp.
Description
Five ceramic lamps hang from a wooden pergola on the south exterior side of the Emily Fowler Central Library.
The lamps were made by Beaumont Mood and commissioned by architect O'Neil Ford for the library in 1968. The Beaumont Mood Lighting Company was located in San Antonio, Texas. Ford also commissioned the pergola.
In 2020, the library experienced some vandalism, and two lights were shattered. The remainder were removed and placed in storage for their protection.
