In late 2021, some of the outdoor pottery globes had been smashed by a vandal while the library was shut down during COVID. The pieces were collected and stored in the Special Collections Department. <br />

In 2022, Preservation Specialist Alayna Jordan, with Ford Powell & Carson Architects, gave a pottery cleaning demonstration at the Emily Fowler Library to show city staff how to clean the Beaumont Mood pottery in the Municipal Complex. <br />
