These are the remains of two globe-shaped pottery lamps made by Beaumont Mood that were smashed by vandals during the COVID pandemic.
Staff retrieved the pieces, which had been encrusted in mud. In 2022, after training, library staff cleaned them.
These lamps were made for the 1969 expansion of the library.
