In addition to the exhibit, there are many things going on in this photograph of importance. First of all, this is one of the few photographs that capture the Mexican brick flooring that was in the 1968 addition to the library. It was made by Acme Brick Co. for O'Neil Ford and was called "el Fordo". The wall of chip carvings was made by Lynn Ford, brother of O'Neil Ford and well-known for his woodcarvings and metal work.

The City of Denton Parks and Recreation Department built the foundation and the sand enclosure for the memorial. The structure itself was constructed by Alvin Ellis, under the supervision of Mount-Miller Architects. The project had the approval of the Municipal Complex architect O’Neil Ford. A photograph by Thomas Judd was given to the Emily Fowler Library by Randall S. Boyd in 2017. It currently hangs in an alcove on the east wall of the lower level.

Plat map of the Holiday Park Subdivision of the City of Denton.

The mural is an enlarged and colored edition of a map created by Sena Mounts Wright and painted by Denton artist Irene Grady. She added the border, illustrating the first cattle brands registered in Denton County. The original map was painted in 1949 and covered the entire wall behind the front desk of the library. A second smaller map was completed for the 1969 renovation of the building.<br />

A custom-made fireplace screen was commissioned by local stained glass artisan, Christie Wood, in 2006.<br />

Two peacock chairs designed by Hans J. Wegner flank the fireplace; they were given to the library in memory of Luke Wilson by his friends in 1981.

Mural on the east side of H. M. S. Art and Frame Shop by artist Sam McIntyre. The front of the building is painted a bright red. In addition to the mural on the east side, the words 'No Parking' have been stenciled on the white wall.

Museum replica of the Rosetta Stone. It was once made available for customers to check out. It is 34" x 30" x 1" 1/2 and currently hangs on the east wall in the Special Collections Department. The condition is fair, with material missing, along the edges and paint that has rubbed off on the bottom fourth of the object.
