A watercolor of the Old Alton Bridge. The artist's name says "Samuels". The painting currently hangs in the upper level on the northeast side over a microfilm cabinet.

The BSU which is owned by the Baptist General Convention of Texas, was built in January of 1951. The building was expanded in the 1980s, adding space to the west end with a new kitchen/dining area.
