The BSU which is owned by the Baptist General Convention of Texas, was built in January of 1951. The building was expanded in the 1980s, adding space to the west end with a new kitchen/dining area.

Brick star mural on TWU's Arts and Sciences Building. Designed by Coreen Mary Spellman, a Texas artist and former TWU assistant professor who taught for 45 years. It features a star motif made from various colors of brick.
