Newspaper clipping from the Denton Record-Chronicle from May 20, 1976. There is a photo taken by DRC photographer Larry Barr of Adrian Conway mowing a field at North Lakes Park. The caption says, "While most of the residents of the county involve themselves in more urban pursuits, a dedicated group of citizens works full-time preserving the quality of the county's open spaces. Among the conservation projects in the country currently under way is the Northlakes project in northwest Denton.

This is a photograph of the exterior of the  Denton Civic Center.  The building is brick. This photo is of the west side of the building. Several exit doors empty out onto a covered patio with a metal roof. The patio is used for vendors during an event, or for children to play on during summer camp.

These ten wall sconces align the inner courtyard on the west side of City Hall.
They were designed and made by Beaumont Mood for O'Neil Ford in the late 1960s.

In February of 2024, all of the sconces were removed for cleaning.
