A sticker on this pottery lamp reads, "Individually handcrafted, 1980 Ceramic Design, San Antonio, Texas 78209." After researching the company's name, we found that Charlene "Charlie" deJori was the artist behind the company.<br /> <br /> This lamp sits atop the paperback shelf in the Emily Fowler Central Library and has never been used. Ten more hang along the outside walk in front of the library.

The front desk of the newly renovated Denton City-County Library, c1969. This photo was taken for the City of Denton newsletter.<br /> <br /> The expansion was completed and the Library re-opened in 1969. Designed by O'Neil Ford, the library featured stick wood carvings by Lynn Ford, brother of the architect, hand-crafted pottery lamps and urns by the Beaumont Mood Lighting Company in San Antonio, Texas, and Mexican Brick made by Acme Brick Company of Denton, who created that particular style and called it Clinton El Ford Blend.<br /> <br /> Decorating the area behind the checkout desk is a Denton County historical map mural by Mrs. Tommye E. Noel, taken from an original by Sena M. Wright.

This is another close-up photo from a different Beaumont Mood flush-mount light fixture that hung at the Denton Municipal Swimming Pool. It also has geometric patterns and bands of a glossy aqua, orange, medium blue, and elephant gray.
Bands of blue, orange, and cream can be seen on this pottery lamp. The photo was taken just after being cleaned by library staff.

View of two of the hanging cylinder lamps from the Municipal Pool Building. They both had significant breakage along the top of the fixtures. The breakage was repaired at an unknown time period, using an unknown glue that did not match the original colors.
Two cylinder lamps made by Beaumont Mood for the Denton Municipal Swimming Pool. They were removed and placed in storage after the building was renovated in the 1990s. This picture was taken before they were cleaned in 2022-2023.

This photo was taken from the front entrance, looking north towards the parking lot. There is a covered breezeway with several flush-mount pottery lamps made by the Beaumont Mood Lighting Co.
Ten flush-mounted terracotta light fixtures line the underside of the covered breezeway in front of the Emily Fowler Library.

Ten Beaumont Mood flush-mount ceramic lights hang from a suspended ceiling. They are a salmon color with an "elephant blue" band at the top.
Ten Beamont Mood ceramic lamps hang from a dropped ceiling. They are a salmon color with an elephant blue glaze, said to be a favorite color of O'Neil Fords.

The area was created during the 1968 expansion of the building.

It is 16" x 16" with geometric patterns and blue, brown, and white glaze. It has some chips and an 8" hairline crack.<br /> <br /> This lamp resides in a locked case in the Emily Fowler Central Library.

This wall sconce is on the outermost edge of the west side of the building and faces the park. There is a large crack along the upper-right-hand corner. The blue bands appear to have black scuff marks or dirt on them. The glaze on the middle area and two bands surrounding has faded or worn off extensively.
Ceramic light fixtures along the exterior wall of the Denton Civic Center are made from red clay. As they have weathered, they have turned a pinkish-hue. Over the years, some have been broken due to hail or vandalism.

This is a photograph of the Beaumont Mood pendant light fixtures that hang along the corridor of the City Hall building in Denton, Texas. There are eight in this photo.
