Terracotta pendant lamp with a reddish glaze and bands with various patterns such as fluted lines, seamless ovals, and an atomic starburst. The holes were hand-pierced using a dowel. Measures 24 3/4" x 10 1/2".

The expansion was completed and the Library re-opened in 1969. Designed by O'Neil Ford, the library featured stick wood carvings by Lynn Ford, brother of the architect, hand-crafted pottery lamps and urns by the Beaumont Mood Lighting Company in San Antonio, Texas, and Mexican Brick made by Acme Brick Company of Denton, who created that particular style and called it Clinton El Ford Blend.<br />

Decorating the area behind the checkout desk is a Denton County historical map mural by Mrs. Tommye E. Noel, taken from an original by Sena M. Wright.
