The sculpture was purchased by the Denton Parks, Recreation, and Beautification Board from the Russell Tether Fine Art Gallery as public art in 2012 at a cost of $5,000.<br />
<br />
It is a 45 3/4" tall cast stone sculpture and has a base of 10 1/2" x 11 7/8". The sculpture was completed in 1940.<br />

Medellín was a former faculty member of UNT
