This photograph appeared in the April 1968 edition of the City of Denton employee newsletter. It updated City staff on the construction of the new Municipal Building.

The pergola, designed by architect, O'Neil Ford, runs along the north and west sides of the courtyard at Denton City Hall.

The concrete posts support rafters made of redwood and covered by a wooden lattice.

Shot of the joinery in the brickwork on this round community center created by O'Neil Ford. The bricks were custom-made by Acme Brick Co. in Denton and were dubbed, "El Ford."

The first photo shows the newly added extension to the Emily Fowler Library which was designed by O'Neil Ford and added in 1969. The second view was taken after the building was expanded in 1980-81 to include an upper level.
